A 60-second spot that aired during the break in Sky TV’s Super Bowl coverage last Sunday was the opening shot in Chrysler’s new advertising campaign with which it re-launches the brand in the United Kingdom.

The commercial shows the 300C sedan cruising through Detroit and then emerging through a tunnel in the streets of London, where it is joined by the rest of the brand’s UK line-up. It is very similar to this ad only now we see Chrysler’s re-badged Lancia models as well.

Chrysler will spend no less than £10 Million in promoting the “Different Is What We Do” campaign that will include three major TV commercials, further digital and terrestrial TV ads, and press, online, direct and electronic marketing.

“From the Motor City, Chrysler celebrates the car industry and the pride in the things they make”, said Jeep Chrysler UK brand director Nigel Land. “It features a story of resilience not dissimilar to many around the UK and Europe. Chrysler’s Different Is What We Do line is set to become a confident movement statement”, he added.

Chrysler’s UK range currently includes the Ypsilon supermini, which starts at £10,695, the Delta five-door hatchback (from £16,695) and the Grand Voyager MPV (from £28,225), and will be expanded with the addition of the 300C later in the year.
