It won’t be long before Hyundai comes out with full pricing on its new Elantra GT five-door hatchback, but for now, the South Korean carmaker posted a note on Twitter saying that the base model will start at $18,395, most likely excluding destination and handling charges.

Hyundai added that the entry-level version of the 2013 Elantra GT will come equipped with standard alloy wheels, seven airbags, heated seats (presumably the front only), the brand’s Blue Link infotainment system and fog lamps.

The Elantra GT is the North American version of the latest generation compact hatchback sold under the i30 nameplate in Europe, Australia and other parts of the globe.

Hyundai’s Ford Focus and Volkswagen Golf rival will be offered for now in the States with a single engine option, the same 1.8-liter four-cylinder unit with 148 horsepower and 131 lb-ft of torque used in the Elantra sedan.
