Nissan’s U.S. division has presented the 2013 model year version of its funky looking Juke crossover, the highlight of which is the introduction of a new Midnight Edition variant that is available as an accessory package on the S, SV and SL trim grades.

Set to go on sale in September, the Midnight Edition adds unique 17-inch Black Wheels, a Sapphire Black rear roof spoiler, and Sapphire Black mirror caps with Nissan charging $1,200 for the package, which it says, represents a savings of $500 over the cost of items if purchased individually.

“The Midnight Edition JUKE stands out by its subtlety,” commented Al Castignetti, vice president and general manager of Nissan North America. “The combination of black-on-black-on-black wheels, spoiler and mirrors gives JUKE a dramatic new look, which we think enhances its already bold styling. We expect it to be a very popular addition to the JUKE lineup for 2013.”

Other enhancements to the 2013 model year lineup of the Juke include the addition of a RearView Monitor to the Navigation Package on SV models, a revised Rockford Fosgate ecoPUNCH audio system for the SV Navigation Package, which is standard on SL models, and three new color options named Atomic Gold, Brilliant Silver and Pearl White.

For 2013, the Juke continues to be offered with an 188hp 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-four gasoline engine in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variants.
