It has been eight years since the Renault Group re-launched and re-defined the Dacia brand with the introduction of the low-cost Logan small sedan that has since sold some 1.1 million units wearing the Dacia logo and more than 1 million with the Renault nameplate.

Now the time has come for the Romanian automaker to present a successor to its best-selling vehicle series with the Logan 2 to make its public debut at the Paris Motor Show.

For the time being, we only have the first official photos in our hands, courtesy of French car magazine L’Automobile, with details yet to be officially released.

The images reveal a more modern look for the 2013 Logan 2 with both the exterior and interior design borrowing elements from Dacia’s affordable Lodgy minivan that was unwrapped at the Geneva Salon earlier this year.

The new model’s cabin in particular looks more upscale than the outgoing Logan sporting chrome accent trims and a fairly large screen for the new multimedia system on the center console.

We will keep you updated on any new information we receive on the 2013 Logan including the powertrain options, which at this point, remain unknown.
