New spy shots of a camouflaged Kia K5, which is the Korean domestic market name for the Optima mid-size sedan, have surfaced online in the carmaker’s home country.

The test car snapped at a parking lot in South Korea was heavily disguised with the only visible part being the headlamps that appear to feature new circular units along with what looks like an LED accent strip sitting on top.

From the positioning of the cladding, we assume that there may be some subtle changes made to sedan’s front and rear ends, as well as its profile styling.

In its current form, the Optima has been on the market since 2010, so a light refresh sometime next year wouldn’t be out of the question.

We’ll keep an eye out for any news on Kia’s mid-size model and update you accordingly.
