He is probably the most famous car TV show host, a fame he has earned mostly due to his sometimes brilliant, other times controversial or plainly insulting remarks.
Either way, Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson doesn’t really mind and continues doing what he knows best. He is a hard man to please, too; just ask the automakers that have been on the receiving end of his comments about their cars.
TG is currently in its 19th season and the third episode aired in the UK last night. As usual, there was a lot to see on the show but JC surprised us for actually liking a car: the Toyota GT86 (Scion FR-S in the U.S. market).
Yes, he did find something to dislike, too, like the styling but he was genuinely thrilled at the GT 86’s ability to entertain with oversteer and being easy to control at any speed, whether it is 30 or 80 mph (50 or 130 km/h).
The Stig also did the customary Power Lap and, predictably, did not set any new records. Not surprisingly, videos from the show have popped left and right on the internet, including on StreetFire and even YouTube…
