The Datsun 510, built between 1968 and 1973, is a very European-looking old classic, with lines inspired by the prettiest of Fiat and Alfa Romeo three-box shapes of the era. It came as four- or two-door sedan variation, as well as a station wagon.

The example you see here riding on factory-spec 13-inch gold rims, sporting an… interesting beige color is for sale on eBay. It’s the two-door model manufactured in 1970 and currently advertised in Bellflower, California; the highest bid is sitting at $6,600, on a page that does not contain one instance of the word “original…”

As per the seller, it’s ding- and scratch-free, being a clean-runner and great-driver. Being an old car and still looking good, you’d expect it to have had some work put into it to retain the attractive look. It has new tail light trim pieces, re-chromed front bumper, plus a new headliner inside.

Work has been done on the L-18 Nissan engine too and it reportedly runs well and seamlessly sends its power through a five-speed box. However, that will need to be put to the test, since the car is registered as a non-runner. The future buyer will have to cover the additional expenses of making it road-legal again.
