Consumer Reports paid over $74,000 for their Range Rover Sport and found it to be excellent in some areas, but quite the opposite in others where this would not have been expected.

For instance, the reviewer complains about the harsh ride that he calls “stiff and choppy.” He also criticizes the touchscreen infotainment unit for looking, feeling an operating in an archaic way (i.e. slowly and with noticeable lag).

Reasons to buy the Sport are still there, though, as it features a nicely appointed luxurious interior that feels modern, the imposing styling and, of course, the off road capability that hardly any of its owners will ever get to use.

There is one more drawback associated with it, and it’s one that may make you look at other manufacturers’ offerings in the segment: the high price which makes a moderately-loaded BMW X5 seem well priced.
