Take a good look at the digitally-created four-door Ferrari you see here, because it will probably never happen, at least not during the reign of signiore di Montezemolo who is adamant they need to keep sales figures down to preserve exclusivity.

The rendering is of an imaginary rival to the Maserati Quattroporte, featuring the headlights from the FF (the most practical car in their range) and an elongated shape that is so atypical for a modern Ferrari.

As an actual, real model, its creator X-Tomi says it would sit above the Maserati, being a more powerful, more exclusive model in its own right. I’d add that it would also most likely feature the unique all-wheel drive system borrowed from the FF, rather than the Maserati system, again, to preserve exclusivity.

Not a bad idea to take the time and dream up a modern Ferrari sedan, but don’t expect to see one in the coming decade, looking at the way things are going now.
