Peugeot has announced a new limited edition RCZ model called Red Carbon, available exclusively in two body colors, Moroccan Red or Nera Black. Peugeot will build only 300 Red Carbon models.

Derived from the Sport model and distinguished with unique badging, the RCZ Red Carbon comes fitted as standard with the “Vision Pack” including Xenon, directional and self-levelling headlamps, 19-inch “Solstice” alloy wheels with onyx black matt finish, as well as the “Black Pack” which includes matt black roof arches, brilliant black front grill, door mirror covers and brake callipers.

The interior of the limited edition Peugeot RCZ features “Red Carbon” black sports front seats trimmed in “Simple Leather” with red stitching, with the latter also found on the dashboard, sports steering wheel and short shift gear lever. Standard equipment also includes the Peugeot Connect Navigation (RT6), audio, CD and satellite navigation system and Peugeot Connect USB Box with Bluetooth connectivity.

Red Carbon models are available with a 1.6-liter THP petrol engine in two states of tune (156hp or 200hp) and a 2.0-liter HDi diesel producing 163 hp. The model equipped with the 200hp petrol engine delivers the fastest acceleration, covering the 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) sprint in 7.6 seconds. The most economical version is obviously the diesel, averaging 54.3 mpg UK (5.2 l/100 km).

In the UK, prices start from £26,000 (€31,662) for the base petrol model, followed by £27,850 for the diesel and £28,400 for the 200hp petrol version.
