Rolls-Royce has officially revealed the Phantom Drophead Coupé Nighthawk Bespoke Collection car, created exclusively for North American customers.

Unveiled in Phoenix, Arizona, the car will be built in a run of only 9 units, all inspired by stealth technology in modern aerospace development. Rolls-Royce says Nighthawk models feature a combination of “modern materials and subtle color to create a new contemporary interpretation of a classic Rolls-Royce motor car.”

Crafted by Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke team, the limited edition Phantom Drophead Coupés feature a shiny Diamond Black Metallic paint with a Matt Diamond Black bonnet, while the windscreen surround design is inspired by radar-absorbent material (RAM) coating used in aviation.

If it’s one thing the Hotspur Red and Black full-grain leather interior doesn’t lack, it’s carbon fiber. The lightweight material is found in the dashboard panels as well as the panels adorning the signature coach door. Another reference to aircrafts is the instrument panel which features carbon dials with incandescent orange tips. Other enhancements include the leather-trimmed transmission tunnel and leather-lined boot trim.

“We commissioned ‘Nighthawk’ to demonstrate to our owners the unparalleled creativity of the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bespoke team,” said Eric Shepherd, President of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars North America.

The North America region is Rolls-Royce’s largest region globally and dominates in terms of Bespoke sales as well. Sales of Bespoke Rolls-Royce models more than doubled in 2014. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has 41 dealers in North America, with 36 in the United States, four in Canada and one in Mexico.
