Starting today, Audi is taking orders for the all-new Audi R8 in Europe, with the first deliveries scheduled for this autumn.

The Audi R8 V10 starts from €165,000 ($185,115), while the range-topping Audi R8 V10 Plus is offered from €187,400 ($210,140). Both prices correspond to the German market. No pricing information was offered about the R8 E-Tron.

The Audi R8 V10 Plus is the most powerful and fastest production Audi ever: with a power output of 610PS (602hp) from a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 unit, it covers the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in just 3.2 seconds and it reaches a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph). The 0-200 km/h (0-124mph) sprint of 9.9 seconds is even more impressive.

This doesn’t mean that the standard Audi R8 V10 is slow. On the base model, the 5.2-liter V10 produces 540PS (533hp), allowing it to reach 100 km/h from standstill in 3.5 seconds and to reach a top speed of 323 km/h (201 mph).

Both models are offered exclusively with a 7-speed S-Tronic transmission combined with a newly developed Quattro system which can distribute the torque according to driving conditions, sending up to 100 percent of the torque in a single axle in some extreme cases.

New in the Audi R8 is the performance mode of the Audi drive select system, which lets drivers coordinate driving dynamics parameters to the friction value and condition of the road. There are four driving modes (comfort, auto, dynamic and individual).

Audi has sold just under 27,000 R8s since the first-generation model launched in 2007.
