Call it whatever you want (depending on the market), but the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is in major need of range renewal which it’s getting later his year. Now, courtesy of several leaked patent drawings we found on Gizmag, we know what the next incarnation of the model will look like.

The design is completely revealed, and we’re not surprised – it looks like a moderately improved version of the styling Mitsubishi uses in most of its new vehicles. Its fascia is ever so slightly more aggressive than that of the recently revealed refreshed Outlander, but it is clearly related to it.

Even so, the Mitsubishi L200-truck based SUV still retains the ladder chassis construction and fairly basic (and rugged) suspension setup. It will appeal to the exact same people the current one does now, but with a fresher looking face and new (connectivity, safety, infotainment) tech.
