Mercedes-Benz is wasting no time with the all-new GLC SUV, which can already be ordered in Germany where prices start from €44,506 (approximately $50,775) for the base GLC 250 4Matic. The automaker points out that it’s the same model price as the GLC’s predecessor, the GLK. Deliveries in Germany and other European markets will begin in September.

US dealers will get the car in November 2015, with pricing to be announced later. However, Mercedes-Benz USA says it will be priced similar to the GLK. Three models will be available at launch in Germany: the GLC 250 4Matic, the GLC 220d 4Matic (€44,863) and the GLC 250d 4Matic (€46,410).

The GLC’s exterior can be customized with the AMG Line, Exclusive and Off-Road Exterior packages, as well as with 12 different paint finishes and 15 different wheels up with sizes up to 20 inches.

The cabin can be individualized as well with Mercedes-Benz offering the AMG Line and Exclusive lines. Upholstery options include fabric, Artico man-made leather, Dinamica microfiber, leather or Designo nappa leather in black, silk beige, espresso brown, saddle brown or platinum white pearl (designo only), while aluminum, carbon fiber and fine wood trim are also available.

As with all models launched recently, the GLC will be offered with an Edition 1 version available at market launch. The special edition model can be combined with all engines available for the GLC, with the package priced from €8,211.

The Mercedes-Benz GLC Edition 1 features the AMG Exterior Line with AMG bumpers at the front and rear, 20-inch multi-spoke wheels, dark tinted glass and “Edition 1” badges on the front wings. Inside, it is offered with either Designo nappa leather appointments in fine black or two-tone platinum white pearl/black, with diamond-pattern quilting in each case.
