VW released a pair of new R-Line packages for the Golf’s more practical brother, the Sportsvan. The complete R-Line upgrade includes two packages for the exterior and interior of the VW Golf Sportsvan.

VW is keen to offer just the exterior pack to those who do not want the interior upgrade which mainly includes sports seats that feature a special ‘Race’ fabric trim on the middle seat panel and ‘San Remo’ microfiber on their sides. The ‘R-Line’ logo is stitched on the seats while there is also a ‘Black Lead Grey’ trim on the cabin, stainless steel pedals, R-Line kick plates for the doors, contrasting stitching on the gear lever, sports steering wheel, central armrest, door panels and floor mats. A black rood-liner completes the interior pack.

A set of redesigned bumpers with bigger ventilation grilles and chrome elements at the front are part of the exterior package. At the rear there is an integrated diffuser, darkened tail lights and chrome-plated exhaust tailpipes. A pair of body-colored, fatter side skirts along with the obligatory ‘R-Line’ logos completes the exterior body kit.

Volkswagen also offers independently the ‘R-Line Sports Package’ which includes progressive steering, 65 percent tinted rear passenger windows and a 15mm lower sports suspension. Last but not least, customers can choose between four different alloys from the ‘R-Line’ range in 17- and 18-inch sizes.

The new styling upgrades will make their official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
