Restricted to just 250 units worldwide, the Jaguar F-Type Project 7 was the first production-car created by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations division.

Designed as the ultimate F-Type and inspired by race cars from the British firm’s past, the Project 7 has all the makings of being a future collector’s car. Now, one is up for sale on eBay.

This particular F-Type Project 7 is one of just 50 units imported into the United States and as a 2016 model, has a mere 64 miles on the clock. A range of colour and livery options were made available for owners and this example has the same dark green paint and white livery as the initial display car. It is also rolling on a set of gloss black wheels and includes massive yellow brake calipers.

Powering the open-top model is an upgraded variant of the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 powering the F-Type R with power now sitting at 567 hp. All told, the vehicle sprints to 60 mph in an impressive 3.8 seconds and onto an electronically limited top speed of 186 mph.

Further points of difference between the Project 7 and other F-Type models include adjustable suspension with performance springs and sway bars, large carbon ceramic brakes as standard, the aforementioned 20-inch wheels as well as matte black tailpipes.

The most notable visual point of difference for the F-Type Project 7 is its Speedster body style and the single prominent buttress behind the driver, reminiscent of the iconic Jaguar D-Type.

Unsurprisingly, all examples of the Project 7 sold out soon after its announcement with pricing in the U.S. starting at $165,000. At the time of writing, the starting bid on the auction sits at $100,000.
