Lamborghini’s new entry-level model ditched the all-wheel drive system to become a simpler, more fun version of the Huracan. At least that’s the official line.

On paper the cheaper Lamborghini you can get offers all the ingredients to get your hair on the back of your neck stand up: a naturally aspirated, screaming V10 in the middle which tortures only the rear axle via a seven-speed double clutch gearbox. Sounds like perfection to us.

No one really cares that the new Huracan LP580-2 has lost 30PS compared to the AWD model, as the idea of a rear-wheel driven Lamborghini is tantalizing.
