Fiat Drops New Toro Video Prior To Its Brazil Launch This Month

As Fiat is getting ready to launch its compact truck in the South American market, a new video details some of its exterior features.

Dressed in the same red color as the one previously seen in official images and short films, the new Toro pickup benefits from plastic body cladding all around, it has silver-finished roof rails and, for increased practicality, its tailgate has a double-opening.

New slender LED DRLs are flanking the Fiat logo and they sit above the headlights. At the rear, the manufacturer added a fresh design for the taillights and inside, previous data revealed all the necessary features for a modern ride, starting with an infotainment system, dual-zone climate control and ending with the multi-function steering wheel.

In Brazil, where the vehicle will go up against the Renault Duster Oroch, it is offered with a 1.8-liter flex-fuel rated at 140hp and with a Multijet 2.0-liter diesel, delivering 170hp. The latter is believed to come with a nine-speed auto combined with all-wheel drive, while Fiat will also offer a six-speed manual for both units and a six-speed auto for the 1.8-liter.

Pricing is yet to be announced, but reports indicated the cheapest Toro version will start from 70,000BRL ($17,500 equivalent) when it will hit dealerships, at the end of February.
