Lincoln’s 400HP 2017 MKZ To Start From $43,575

Following its debut at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, the new Lincoln MKZ is getting ready to arrive at dealerships this summer.

However, until the car goes on display in showrooms across the nation, CarsDirect reports that prices for the 400hp variant of the updated MKZ sedan will start from $43,575.

The MKZ’s 3.0-liter GTDI V6 twin-turbo mill is rated at 400 HP (406 PS) and 400 lb-ft (525 Nm) maximum torque in the AWD version, while in FWD, the same unit comes with 350 HP (356 PS) and it will start at $40,435, or $2,750 more than the base 2.0-liter engine.

Lincoln’s new powertrain will only be offered on Select, Reserve and Black Label variants. It joins other exterior and interior revisions made for the 2017MY and it is completed by the optional Driver’s pack for the AWD that ads the Focus RS’ torque-vectoring rear-differential.

By comparison, the new 400hp MKZ is more expensive than the$40,990 Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack, which brings 485 HP, but significantly cheaper than the $48,870 Chevy SS with 415hp, though both these sports sedans come with rear-wheel drive.
