Now that it’s officially available in the UK, the VUHL 05 Mexican supercar is also scheduled to make an appearance at the London Motor Show this week.

The VUHL 05 is a lightweight two-seater supercar that’s supposed to work just as well on the road as it does on the track. It has an impressive 410 BHP/tonne power-to-weight ratio, which manifests itself through a 3.5-second 0-60 mph (96 km/h) sprint time.

Flat out, it will do 150 mph (241 km/h), which is thanks to the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine coming straight out of the Ford Focus ST – but tuned to 289 PS (285 HP) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque.

“After thrilling UK crowds for the first time with our 05 prototype at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed, we are proud to announce that our full production specification car for the UK is now on sale,” said VUHL technical director Iker Echeverria. “This is a momentous occasion for the company as the UK represents a key market for us from both a sales and engineering perspective, with almost half of the components sourced here. We hope many visitors will come to our stand and get a close-up look at our first UK car.”

VUHL cars will be sold directly through their Hertfordshire-based dealer, Bespoke Performance, which will be representing the company during the London Motor Show. Visitors will need to make their way to stand M4 in Hall 1 at Battersea Evolution in order to catch a glimpse of the 695 kg (1,532 lbs) supercar.
