Although the Alfa Romeo 4C shouldn’t serve any other purpose besides actual driving, this owner found a new and enticing way to use his carbon-fiber lightweight sports car.

The 1050 Kg (2,315 lb) vehicle is first and foremost a driver’s car, purposefully created to be a delight through the bends. We recently saw that it can’t really cope with the demands of daily driver, as Alfa Romeo’s pursuit of building a proper, pure sports car culminated with some shortcomings in the real world. Nevertheless, the car makes up for it by being an awesome set of drums.

Filmed at Ijseldeltarit 2016, in the Netherlands, this proud 4C customer uses the 237 hp, 1.75-litre turbocharged vehicle as a musical instrument, drumming some tunes on its body panels. He could’ve boasted about the car’s 4.2 seconds acceleration from 0 to 100 Km/h (62 mph), or 0.33 hp/kg (8.22 lb/hp) power-to-weight ratio, but no; the man preferred to smack the car with his hands to the sound of Armin van Buuren’s “Heading up High” track.

Ridiculous? Maybe, but in the end, the 4C probably isn’t even the most expensive (or best) set of drums you can get your hands on, but it sure is the fastest one out there.
