With the VW Camper/Bus celebrating its 65th birthday last year and ABT turning 120, the tuning company decided to combine the two special events into one, with a specially-modded T6.

Unveiled initially two months ago, along with two more vehicles that were present at ABT’s party, the TTS and QS3, the tuner’s Volkswagen T6 brings a few exterior touches on top of the regular van, which include the tweaked bumpers on both ends, front apron, new side skirts, rear diffuser,  roof-mounted spoiler and quad exhausts.

ABT also adds sport springs and Bilstein coilovers that lower the ride height, and a new set of CR or DR alloy wheels, available in 19- or 20-inch. The aftermarket specialists state that when wrapped with the right tires, these rims will help the T6 take different loads.

ABT Sportsline played around with the 2.0-liter TDI engine, which is offered in two outputs, with 180 HP and 235 HP, up from the standard 150 HP and 204 HP. The diesel burner has been described as “torquey and economical” and with its “power breaking out in a balanced manner”, by ABT’s CEO, Hans Jurgen.
