All 918 examples of the Porsche 918 Spyder are being recalled due to an issue with the seatbelt mount.

The German manufacturer recently discovered that the vehicle’s parts catalog listed the screws for the seat belt mount and reel mount incorrectly, potentially leading workers to install improper screws in the incorrect place.

In a brief statement, Porsche said that “the function of the seat belt system could possibly be impaired in the event of an accident,” due to the issue.

To resolve the problem, technicians at Porsche dealerships around the world will inspect the mounts to see if the correct screws were used. If they weren’t, they’ll be replaced free of charge.

This isn’t the first time the 918 Spyder has been recalled. In fact, units have been hit with two other recalls since its market launch, one focusing on a wiring problem and another related to weak control arms.
