Owners of certain 2017 Audi Q7s won’t be happy to find out that their SUVs have been involved in yet another recall.

According to the German automaker, certain units of the full-sized vehicle, from the 2017MY, have an issue with the third row of seats that can move forward under load, thus posing a potential risk of injury, in the event of a crash.

If the third row seat does not remain in its position, there may be an increased risk of injury to an occupant, in the event of a crash“, as the manufacturer says.

Since they violate federal safety guidelines, the SUVs will have to be taken back to the dealers, where technicians will install a new support bracket to the lower transverse pipe, which was improperly manufactured and because of this, it weakens the entire seat structure.

Additional details on the safety campaign have yet to be released, but this is actually the second time in a week when the brand with the four rings has issued a recall for the 2017. The previous one has been announced due to possible power steering assist fail and has been traced back to the supplier, pointing out a ‘human error’.
