Thanks to its twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8, one would have to be crazy to call the McLaren 12C slow. However, that hasn’t stopped HyperCar Development from developing a comprehensive upgrade package for the 12C and its newer siblings, the 650S and 675LT.

The headline of the modifications is the installation of a third turbocharger as well as an uprated transmission, driveline and fuel system. This allows the British V8 to pump out no less than 1200 hp, making the McLaren P1 GTR’s 986 hp seem like child’s play.

Matt Farah recently sampled HyperCar Development’s ‘Hyper800’ package and despite it lacking the third turbocharger of the 1200 kit, even it is breathtakingly fast. We can’t even begin to imagine how the 1200 would feel on the street.

In this brief clip however, we do get the opportunity to see the car in action on a dyno and it looks and sounds insane, even violently shaking the camera at high revs.
