BMW may commission the lion’s share of art cars on the scene, but it’s not the only one. Just check out this latest from the Briggs Automotive Company.

This one-of-a-kind BAC Mono has been designed together with Autodesk, the professional design software company. More specifically, it takes advantage of Autodesk’s Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools that simulate the conditions of a wind tunnel.

The result is a colorful livery of lines tracing the contours of the vehicle’s surface like it would in the CFD system in a rather striking livery.

“Good design is at the heart of Mono and is paramount in everything we do at BAC,” said company founder Ian Briggs. “Having worked with Autodesk for many years, it is a pleasure to create something as beautiful as this Art Car. Not only is it one of the most striking and intricate Mono colour schemes we have ever created, it also shows the intelligent design of Mono and how we use Autodesk software to help create the perfect car.”

This unique take on the single-seat track car will be displayed at the Autodesk Advanced Manufacturing Facility in Birmingham, but not before marking its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend. But if you can’t make it to the British summertime automotive extravaganza, you can check out the BAC Mono art car in the images below, and watch this space for further coverage of the festival and everything it has in store.
