Carlex Design Gives Ferrari 488 Spider A Bespoke Interior

The artisians over at Carlex Design have a pretty clear picture of how the Ferrari 488 Spider’s cabin should look like, and it includes plenty of leather and Alcantara.

The two materials, in different shades of blue, cover good chunks of the seats, dashboard, steering wheel, armrest, doors, and carpets, and are contrasted by a few yellow inserts.

Bulgarian tuner Vilner would probably be jealous of this project, which Carlex calls “absolutely unique and outstanding”, believing that its redone interior goes hand in hand with the exterior that remains totally stock.

No other changes were made to this 488 Spider, but then again, it doesn’t really need any extra bits, does it? After all, it’s capable of reaching 100km/h (62mph) in just 3.0sec from a standstill, and it will eventually top out at over 325km/h (203mph).

The 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 that replaces the 4.5-liter naturally aspirated unit of the 458 puts out 670PS (661hp) and 760Nm (561lb-ft) of torque, and is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

      I always ask myself who exactly are those people who get into a Ferrari (Lambo/Aston/ Bentley etc.) and think “no, a few men in a shed can do a way better job on the interior than those bespoke craftsmen in the luxury factory…..
