After updating the Giulia for the US market last month, and with the Stelvio featuring a few changes of its own, Alfa Romeo has now taken on the Euro-spec versions of both cars.

The Giulia and Stelvio have been refreshed for the 2019MY, with changes including the introduction of Euro 6D engines. The automaker says that these diesel units emit less CO2 than before, with the 2.2-liter mill gaining an extra 10PS (10 hp / 7 kW) over the previous 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW) and 180 PS (177 hp / 132 kW) versions.

New tech is here at no extra cost

The Alfa Connect infotainment system, with an 8.8-inch display, is now offered as standard across the range, along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.

Meanwhile, joining the 2019 Giulia is the Veloce Ti trim level. It debuted in the UK at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, builds on the Veloce and adds Quadrifoglio-like leather and Alcantara sports seats, carbon fiber trim, ambient lighting, illuminated door sills, and more.

On the outside, the Giulia Veloce Ti gets the Carbon V-grille and side mirror casings, red brake calipers, 19-inch alloy wheels coming from the Quadrifoglio, and the lighting pack. Optionally, it can be specified with the Quadrifoglio’s paint finishes and Carbon Pack, which adds the lip spoiler, side skirts and shifter with carbon fiber inserts.

The 2019 Giulia Speciale now adds 18-inch alloy wheels with a different pattern, aluminum kick plates and rear privacy glass. As for the Giulia Veloce models, these see the addition of new 18-inch wheels, rear privacy glass, external door handle lights, Convenience pack with keyless entry, and new dashboard storage on the driver’s side.

Completing the premium compact sedan’s lineup is the range-topping QV, which comes with a few changes of its own, like the anodized black calipers, rear privacy glass and 40/20-40 split fold rear seats, in addition to the third rear central seatbelt.

Revised Stelvio models

Revisions performed on Alfa Romeo’s first-ever SUV, the Stelvio, include the introduction of Michelin CrossClimate Winter tires as standard for the Super trim level, and black brake calipers, aluminum kick plates and rear privacy glass for the Speciale. As for the Stelvio Quadrifoglio, it gets 20-inch alloy wheels, black anodized brake calipers and rear privacy glass.

Pricing for the 2019 Giulia starts from £32,490 ($41,300/€36,310) in the United Kingdom, the new Veloce Ti will burn a £45,500 ($57,838/€50,850) hole in your pocket, and the base 2019 Stelvio is offered with rear-wheel drive from £35,990 ($45,749/€40,222).
