Mustang-Corvette Mongrel Is Something That Should Never Have Happened

We’re just going to go ahead and say it: this is way worse than that El Camaro we showed you earlier this month, and while the C5 Corvette was by no means the nameplate’s most gorgeous iteration, it definitely doesn’t deserve to get this type of treatment.

Also, mentioning the poor execution is barely worth it, since it’s so painfully obvious that whoever built this car obviously wasn’t bothered too much with getting things right.

Gone are the Corvette’s sleek front fenders, replaced by “new” ones, while the doors also look different. Now, there is a possibility that this was never a Corvette to begin with (there’s just something off about the rear pillar and the wheelbase, which seems too short), but if that’s true, then we have no way of knowing anything about the actual donor car that might or might not have been a Mustang.

Sticking to what we can see, there’s also something slightly off about that fifth-gen Mustang front end, where the hood is definitely not your typical Mustang item and we’re wiling to bet that neither is the grille, which by the way has a skull on it instead of a pony. No big deal, this one; just sayin’…

The rear end could fool you, as it does actually look like that of a C5 Vette, although that body-colored wing is definitely not doing it any favors – though that’s nothing compared to the rest of this Frankencar.

The images were sourced from a Reddit thread dedicated to the world’s worst car modifications. And we concur: this one is most likely among the contestants for the worst mod of the year.

I think some names… “Mustanguette” or “Corvettang”…. Sorry!

  • C172fccc

The base car looks like a Camaro to me.

    • That’s what i thought too. 90’s camaro body, Mustang front, vette rear.

    • THE CAMARO HAD THE BODY WORK FROM THE FRONT FENDER MERGE INTO THE SIDE MIRRORS. I’M GUESSING IT’S A FIREBIRD.

The yellow one does. The Pontiac Grand Prix mirrors don’t “flow” into the front clip and look awkward.

    • James Denz

It is. Check out the door handles for one thing. The only thing Corvette is the back end.

    • eb110americana

Yes. You can see 4th gen Camaro in the greenhouse, which is still stock. That little triangle behind the side glass is a dead-giveaway. The doors and part of the rear quarter panel are also still stock. In fact, if you look at the rear hatch, just below the wing, you can actually see the Camaro’s original wing. In the center of the wing, you can see the Camaro center brake light painted yellow, but you can just barely make out the screw holes at either site which mount it below the wing.

    stupid people keep breeding

    Why?

  • SOMEONE FAILED SHOP CLASS.

I’M SEEING THE FIREBIRD AS THE DONOR CAR.

Nope, Camaro. Look at the top of the yellow one’s fenders where it meets with the Pontiac Grand Prix mirrors. Pure Camaro.

      • YOU MAY BE RIGHT. ODD THEY PUT A NEW FRONT END ON BUT LEFT THE CAMARO FENDER “HUMP” BUT USED DIFFERENT SIDE MIRRORS.

  • Miknik

When you like to marry your cousin, but also hit crowds…

  • wait a minute

I think the joke is on all those who take this seriously. They must have had such a laugh doing this car.

  • Tumbi Mtika

    OOF.

  • TB

    DAFUQ

  • ksegg

So this is the new C8 Corvette?

    • eb110americana

It’s curiously also the 7th gen Mustang, Elon Musk’s private Hyperloop pod, and one weird thing that will help you lose body fat in just days!

i cant look away, it keeps drawing me back

Some front parts look to be from the Pontiac Grand Am.
