Redesigned 2019 Hyundai Tucson Goes On Sale Priced From $24,245

Hyundai announced U.S. pricing and range details of the facelifted 2019 Tucson, which is available at dealers nationwide.

The redesigned 2019 Tucson now comes with more advanced safety systems as standard, including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Collision Warning and Driver Attention Warning.

The new Tucson features new headlights and LED DRLs, a more characteristic cascading front grille, new front and rear bumpers, new wheel designs and redesigned taillights.

The biggest difference however is to be found inside. For the 2019MY, the Tucson is getting a new dashboard design that’s more in line with the brand’s latest models. A seven-inch infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and a free three-year subscription to Hyundai’s Blue Link services is offered as standard, while more expensive models get an eight-inch infotainment display.

The engine range is also revised, as Hyundai has ditched the 175hp 1.6-liter Turbo unit in favor of a 181hp 2.4-liter engine. Base models get a 2.0-liter engine with 164hp and 151 lb-ft. All models are fitted with a six-speed automatic transmission, while all-wheel drive is optional.

Prices for the 2019 Hyundai Tucson start from $24,245 (including a $1,045 freight charge) for the FWD 2.0-liter SE model. An extra $1,400 will get you all-wheel drive, while the top of the line AWD 2.4-liter Ultimate goes for $33,995.

love the new exterior detail changes. HATE the tacked on Nav screen design, ill never buy any brand that uses that dash design. so distracting when i drive

    • no25

well, soon you won’t be able to buy any brand because they’re all starting to do it – hyundai, kia, toyota, honda, nissan, ford, chevy, mazda – the list goes on

    • HaltestelleLuitpolthafen

How is this “distracting” in the least?

It is no more distracting than any other screen in the vehicle.

    • charlotteharry57

The tacked on look is to create LESS distraction by not having to look down at the infotainment screen. Wish mine had it.

      • rodriguez256

Thank you, I don’t understand the arguement that it’s more distracting. I myself would prefer it “tacked on” and in my line of sight.

  • no25

Subtle exterior changes are nice – unlike the Elantra’s new look. Interior redesign was unnecessary; old one looked fine. They could have waited for the redesign in a few years for a new interior look.

More and more like an Audi Q3.

The 1.6T’s 7-speed DCT was nothing but trouble, so it’s no great loss. The 2.4L (pre-2016) is the one catching fire. Hopefully the recent ones aren’t plagued by the fires.

    • bd0007

Don’t know why they couldn’t have partnered the 1.6T w/ the 6 spd AT.

Anyhow, the 2,4L will soon be replaced by a new 2.5L and likely will be partnered w/ the iVT and/or 6 spd AT.

      • HaltestelleLuitpolthafen

Do you have any information on the new 2.5?

  • Paul

I like the new design. It looks tough but yet IMO sophisticated at the same time. The infotainment screen is a bit of a let down, but since they’re all doing it sort of, it does look better than a lot of others.
