Jaguar Land Rover Launches Premium Car Rental Service In London

JLR’s InMotion Ventures is launching ‘The Out’, an on-demand premium car rental service available exclusively to London residents, offering them the chance to book a romantic weekend, family road trip or spontaneous getaway at the touch of a button, via an iOS app.

This service is targeting Londoners who do not own a vehicle and are interested in a high-end alternative to current car rental and car sharing services.

Through ‘The Out’, people can book a Land Rover Discovery Sport HSE, which they can have delivered either to their home or their office. The British automaker will also point out that various studies have shown that more than half of consumers (52%) would rather pay for a memorable experience than material possessions.

“We looked at every step of the car rental journey, to create a seamless experience that will delight our users. Our customers work hard and play hard, and now more than ever they are finding happiness and expressing their individuality through the very best in high-end experiences. We believe The Out is the ultimate travel companion, from the moment a customer opens the app all the way through to their next enviable destination,” said Inmotion Ventures exec, Sebastian Peck.

Ultimately, JLR wants to outclass traditional car rental services, using transparent pricing, comprehensive insurance, unlimited mileage, available child seats, additional drivers and more. The congestion charge is part of the package too.

The Out is available to book from £295 ($386) for a weekend (£195/$255 for the first day and £100/$131 per day afterwards), and you can have the car delivered anywhere in central London, covering zones 1-3, as well as the Heathrow, Gatwick and City airports.
