Eight years after its introduction, the Lamborghini Aventador is still going strong. Last year, the Italian sports car manufacturer sold 1,209 units, up 3 percent from 2017.

Lamborghini has sold more than 8,300 Aventadors to date, which means there is plenty of demand for aftermarket upgrades. As it so happens, Duke Dynamics is a company that offers one of the most radical Aventador widebody kits we’ve seen so far.

The design is signed by Marius Dumitrascu, who wanted to give the Aventador a more menacing look by paying tribute to some of Lamborghini’s exclusive and limited edition models, such as the Centenario. The influences from the limited-edition Lambo are most visible at the rear, where the bumper features three vertical slats on each side painted in the Italian flag.

The kit also includes a more aggressive front bumper with an incorporated lip and side air vents, front vented hood, wider fenders and side skirts, and a custom rear bonnet. In terms of width, the front fenders each gain 50 mm (2 in), with each of the rear fenders adding 60 mm (2.3 in).

All fenders are full replacement, so there’s no need to cut the originals. This means customers can restore their Aventador back to the stock configuration anytime they wish. In total, there are 26 new pieces created for the Italian supercar and they are tailor-made for both the older Aventador LP 700-4 as well as the newer Aventador S LP 740-4.

The kits will be available in autoclave pre-preg carbon fiber or FRP (pre-preg fiberglass), made using the latest 3D laser scanning technology, 3D CAD software and CNC machines. According to Duke Dynamics, this ensures top notch quality. Deep concave wheels are also available at an extra cost.

Depending on the materials chosen by the customer (carbon fiber can be mixed with pre-preg FRP), prices for the widebody kit will range from $35,000 to $50,000. That’s a lot for a widebody kit, but a bargain compared to the price of an actual Lamborghini Centenario.
