With the unveiling of the Roma earlier this week, Ferrari has officially introduced five new models in 2019; the SF90 Stradale, F8 Tributo, F8 Spider, 812 GTS and, of course, the Roma. Unsurprisingly, it won’t follow the same trend next year.

Ferrari’s prolific 2019 formed part of its plan to release 15 new models within a five-year window. Speaking with Autocar, commercial chief Enrico Galliera said 2020 will be a year of consolidation for the automaker.

“We’ve committed to introducing 15 new models in a five-year plan, and we launched five in 2019, so certainly something will happen in the future. But 2020 for us is a year of consolidation,” he said. “We just introduced five new cars, some of them are in new segments; now we need to make sure that our network and clients can clearly understand the position of the new models. 2020 will not have the same launch rate, and we’ll be more focused on creating the success of the models we’ve introduced in 2019.”

A Ferrari For Everyone: Ferrari Roma Is A 2+ Coupe With Understated Styling And A 612 HP Turbo V8 (New Photos)

Limited details about the remaining 10 new Ferrari models are known. However, one of them will be the long-awaited Purosangue SUV, which should arrive in 2022. It’s reasonable to assume that a host of new coupe and spider models are on the horizon.

The Ferrari Roma could be considered as a hardtop alternative to the Portofino although it features a totally unique interior and exterior design. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 delivering 612 hp and 560 lb-ft (760 Nm) of torque and is mated to the same advanced eight-speed dual-clutch transmission as the SF90 Stradale. Ferrari quotes a 0-62 mph (100 km/h) time of just 3.4 seconds and a top speed exceeding 199 mph (320 km/h).
