Undisguised pictures of the 2021 Ford Bronco have surfaced online.

Posted on the Bronco6G forums, the images reveal the rear end of Bronco and show the vehicle with its roof off.

The picture of the four-door model is particularly revealing as it shows the Bronco will have a retro-inspired body with vertical taillights and pronounced fender flares. The overall look recalls the fifth-generation Bronco, but with a modern flare.

The rear end is dominated by a spare tire which resides above a minimalist bumper with integrated parking sensors. The bumper features a cut for the tire and we can see the tire’s mount also includes a third brake.

The roof has been removed and this shows the roll cage has traditional C-pillars and angular D-pillars. The former are a bit fat, but it appears the Bronco will offer a good open air experience.

The picture of the two-door Bronco is less revealing, but we can see it will be significantly shorter than the four-door variant and have a unique roll cage. The image also gives us a better look at the beltline which angles up behind the door.

While the images don’t reveal the front of the model, it’s expected to echo the Bronco R prototype. However, there should be circular headlights and a horizontal bar with “BRONCO” lettering.

Ford has been tight-lipped on specifications, but the company has already confirmed the Bronco will ride on the T6 architecture that underpins the Ranger. The SUV is also slated to be offered with two different engines and, possibly, a seven-speed manual transmission.

Under the hood, there could be a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder that produces around 270 hp (201 kW / 274 PS) and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque.  It may be joined by a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 developing approximately 325 hp (242 kW / 330 PS) and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) of torque.

Previous reports have suggested the Bronco will be unveiled later this month, so stay tuned for details.
