The 2021 Ford Bronco was set to be unveiled in March, but the coronavirus threw a wrench into those plans.

As a result of the pandemic, Ford postponed the unveiling to ensure the safety of their employees and the media. While that was unfortunate, it was understandable given the situation.

Fast forward to today and the highly anticipated model will now be unveiled next month. The news was first spotted by a member of the FullSizeBronco forums and was confirmed by Ford as they updated their Bronco landing page to announce the July debut.

While there’s no word on which day the unveiling will take place, the July event does mean the Bronco will narrowly miss its promised spring debut as the first day of summer starts on June 20th.

Of course, we already know a lot about the Bronco as undisguised pictures surfaced months ago. They revealed the upcoming Jeep Wrangler competitor will have a Bronco-branded grille which resides between circular LED headlights.

Elsewhere, there’s a beefy front bumper and extended fender flares. The model will also have a removable roof, vertical taillights and a rear-mounted spare tire.

The interior is a bit more mysterious, but previous spy photos have shown the Bronco will have an upright dashboard with an infotainment system that is flanked by vertical air vents. The model will also have ceiling mounted toggle switches and metallic accents.

Engine options remain unconfirmed, but there could be an entry-level variant with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder that produces around 270 hp (201 kW / 274 PS) and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque. It should be joined by a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 with approximately 325 hp (242 kW / 330 PS) and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) of torque. They’re slated to be connected to a seven-speed manual and a ten-speed automatic transmission.
