Ford has made us wait 23 years for an all-new Bronco but we’re glad to say the wait is almost over.

The automaker has announced that the sixth-generation Bronco off-roader will have its world premiere in spring 2020. This likely means the all-new Bronco will debut for the 2020 model year, although Ford did not say it specifically. The carmaker did not provide further details but released a teaser video which chronicles the Bronco’s history spanning three decades.

We also get so see the refreshed logo, including the iconic image of a bucking bronco. Many things have been said about the upcoming Ford Bronco but very few official information is available. The general consensus is the new body-on-frame SUV will use the same platform as the upcoming Ford Ranger midsize pickup.

Targeting the Jeep Wrangler, the 2020 Bronco will feature a boxy body with removable doors and rear-mounted spare tire, as well as strong off-road capability. The engine lineup is expected to include a base 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline unit, as well as a V6 and a hybrid powertrain.

We should expect many more teasers to come our way leading up to the 2020 Bronco’s debut in spring next year. Hopefully, some of them will give us sneak peeks at the off-roader’s design as well. Until then, make sure you check out the all-new Bronco’s predecessors in the video and the photo gallery posted below.
