Life-Size Lego Ducati Panigale V4 R Is All You Could Want And More

Not long after the Lego Technic Ducati Panigale V4 R was unveiled, the toymaker has unveiled a life-size model made up of 15,000 Lego bricks.

Unlike the life-size Bugatti Chiron that was built with Lego, the Panigale V4 R is actually based around a real-life Ducati that was stripped of its fairings before Lego artist Riccardo Zangelmi was put to work fitting the bricks. Zangelmi reportedly spent 400 hours with his team creating the one-off and didn’t use any glue.

The bike was unveiled alongside a real Panigale V4 R in a presentation with MotoGP rider Andrea Dovizioso.

“I am very happy because I never imagined I’d have the chance to unveil a bike like this,” Dovizioso said. “Almost everyone at some point in their lives has played with LEGO bricks at least once, but seeing up close a replica of the Panigale V4 is something incredible and at a very high level. I would like to congratulate the LEGO artist Riccardo Zangelmi for building such a true to life and a detailed version of the motorcycle. I’m sure children and adults alike will be captivated by this incredible model.”

As the life-size Lego model is based on an actual Ducati Panigale V4 R, it is fully functional, although we’d be worried about the bricks falling off at high speed. Nevertheless, it is driven by a 998 cc Desmosedici Stradale R engine pumping out 217 hp and 82 lb-ft (112 Nm) of torque.
