Welt Documentaries recently had the opportunity to discover how the Aston Martin Vantage is built and as with other episodes of this series, this video provides us with an interesting insight as to how the sports car comes to life.

The current Aston Martin Vantage was unveiled in late 2017 and has been in production since June 2018. It has been very well received by critics and just so happens to be one of the most attractive vehicles currently on sale.

Powered by an AMG-sourced 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 503 hp and 505 lb-ft (685 Nm) of torque, the Vantage is able to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.6 seconds, thanks in no small part to the eight-speed ZF automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The English model is also available with a manual transmission in Vantage AMR guise.

In the documentary we are shown all of the processes that go into making the Vantage a reality. This starts with the design of the car that was initially transferred from pen and paper into a scale model made from clay. Aston Martin adds that when developing the new Vantage, it benchmarked it against the Porsche 911 Carrera S.

In addition to showing the key production processes that each and every Vantage goes through, we are also provided a look into the car’s GT4 racing program.
