The EPA has released official fuel economy figures for the 2021 Genesis GV80 shortly before U.S. sales of the SUV commence.

The most fuel-efficient GV80 on offer will be the rear-wheel drive model equipped with the entry-level 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This model produces 300 hp and returns 21 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined.

Buyers who want the 2.5-liter engine paired with an all-wheel drive system will see 21 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined.

Sitting at the top of the range is the 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 model with 375 hp, all-wheel drive and fuel economy ratings of 18 mpg city, 23 mpg highway, and 20 mpg combined.

In March, Genesis confirmed that the GV80 will start at $48,900 in the United States, excluding freight charges of $1,205. The entry-level model takes the form of the 2.5T RWD Standard. Other 2.5T RWD models include the Advanced and Prestige, priced at $52,800 and $57,050 respectively. All-wheel drive variants of the 2.5T start at $54,650 for the Standard, $59,000 for the Advanced, and $63,400 for the Prestige.

Kicking off the 3.5-liter twin-turbo range is the AWD Standard that’s priced from $59,150. It is joined by the 3.5T AWD Advanced ($64,350), 3.5T AWD Advanced+ ($65,050), and 3.5T AWD Prestige ($70,950).

Genesis had intended on commencing sales of the GV80 in the spring, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, its local launch has been pushed back to late fall. The new G80’s launch has also been delayed.
