Window stickers for two Ford Mavericks have revealed that the compact pickup truck will be able to manage up to at least 30 mpg even without the assistance of a hybrid drivetrain.

The Monroney stickers, first posted to the Maverick Truck Club forum, reveal the fuel economy ratings for a 2022 Maverick XL FWD with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine and the 8 speed automatic, as well as that of a 2022 Maverick XLT AWD with the same engine and the optional tow package.

The first truck gets 23 mpg in the city, 30 mpg on the highway, and a combined rating of 26 mpg, according to the window sticker. The second truck, meanwhile, gets a slightly lower 22 mpg in the city, 29 on the highway, and 25 mpg combined, no doubt as a result of its extra driven wheels and its tow package.

That compares favorably to the Hyundai Santa Cruz, the Maverick’s closest competitor. That truck can manage no better than 27 mpg on the highway and 23 mpg combined, per the EPA. The Ford’s estimated fuel economy also rings true with the 26.6 mpg that a YouTuber found in real-world testing.

The Maverick‘s 2.0-liter Ecoboost engine makes 250 hp (253 PS/186 kW) and 277 lb-ft (375 Nm) of torque. The optional 4K tow package, meanwhile, helps the truck up to a tow rating of 4,000 pounds (1,814 kg).

Ford’s new compact pickup will also be able to get even better fuel economy when buyers opt for the hybrid version. It’s powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor that combine to make 191 hp (193 PS/142 kW) and send their power to the front wheels via a CVT transmission. It, though, gets a combined fuel economy rating of 37 mpg and 40 mpg in the city.
