Volvo Cars USA has announced that its Run for Volvo Cars Sweepstakes is back this year and that someone participating in the TCS New York City Marathon and The McCourt Foundation’s Los Angeles Marathon could win a free Volvo.

Fortunately, not all runners need to necessarily be running in person. Runners participating in the Virtual TCS New York City Marathon Powered by Strava this year will also be eligible to enter this competition.

To enter, runners registered for any of the above marathons just have to visit runforvolvocars.com and configure a new 2021 model year vehicle then click “Try to win this Volvo” to be entered to win. But be careful with how you configure your Volvo because if you win, that’s the car you’ll get.

The winner will be selected at random from the pool of entrants who configured their vehicle before November 30, 2021.

“At Volvo Cars we believe that marathons are more than just races. They are iconic, cultural moments that bring people together,” said Rick Bryant, Vice President of Sales Operations at Volvo Car USA. “As a human-centric organization, we’re thrilled to be part of the return to in-person marathon events across the country and provide another great opportunity for the running community to learn more about our vehicle offerings.”

Volvo has previously offered to give cars away during the Super Bowl LV. Instead of spending millions on a half-time ad, the company said it would give away $2 million worth of vehicles if one of the teams scored a safety.
