Set to premiere on September 15, the first trailer for Netflix’s documentary about Formula 1 racing legend Michael Schumacher has finally been released.

Featuring footage from his childhood karting days, interviews with his family, and more the trailer is the first look at what will no doubt be a sympathetic look at the life and career of one of the winningest drivers of all time.

Along with his family, the full film is set to feature interviews with Formula 1’s best and brightest, including drivers like Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard, as well as his former boss Luca di Montezemolo, FIA chief Jean Todt, and Bernie Ecclestone.

You can watch the original German trailer at the bottom of this story, or a version with English subtitles above.

The film is produced by Benjamin Seikel and Vanessa Nocker who previously worked on a similar documentary about the life of German tennis star, Boris Becker. The film follows the well-loved documentary about Ayrton Senna’s life, another member of F1 royalty.

“Michael Schumacher has redefined the professional image of a racing driver and has set new standards,” said Sabine Kehm, Schumacher’s long-time press officer, in July. “In his quest for perfection, he spared neither himself nor his team, driving them to the greatest successes. He is admired all over the world for his leadership qualities.”

With seven Formula 1 driver’s titles to his name, Schumacher set the all-time record that he now shares with Lewis Hamilton. Sadly, just a year after retiring from racing in 2012, Schumacher suffered a head injury skiing from which he is still recovering.
