The Alpha Motor Corporation continues to churn out renderings of new electric vehicles and the latest is the Saga Estate.

Billed as an “adventure seeking crossover,” the model is based on the Saga sedan but adopts an estate body style that promises to increase practicality.

The company didn’t say much about the wagon, but it features lightweight aluminum body panels and LED headlights. They’re joined by pronounced wheel arches, a panoramic glass roof, and 17- to 20-inch wheels. Rounding out the highlights are a sloping roof, flush-mounted door handles, and a couple of styling packages.

Speaking of the latter, Alpha plans to offer an aerodynamic package which apparently includes a front splitter, extended side skirts, and a prominent diffuser. The company also mentioned an “off-road vehicle configuration” with tubular bumpers and a ride height that has been increased by 2 inches (50 mm).

Moving into the cabin, we can see a digital instrument cluster and a freestanding infotainment system. The model has also been outfitted with a retro-inspired radio, wood trim, and heavily bolstered seats. The company also noted the Saga Estate is expected to have a cargo capacity of 35 cubic feet (991 liters).

On the performance front, the model is “intended” to have a dual motor all-wheel drive system and an 85 kWh battery pack that provides a range in excess of 300 miles (483 km). The company went on to claim the Saga Estate can accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 6.3 seconds and get an 80% charge in approximately one hour.

Pricing is slated to start between $45,000 – $55,000 before incentives, but there’s no word on when the model will arrive. Of course, Alpha has been purposely coy on specifics and this hasn’t exactly inspired a lot of confidence in the startup.
