You can buy a lot of impressive cars for $80,000 or less, such as a BMW M4, a Chevy Corvette Stingray, a Jaguar F-Type, a Mercedes-Benz E-Class or, for the off-road enthusiasts out there, a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392. Despite all these options, someone has just spent $81,500 on a used Toyota FJ Cruiser from 2014.

It is no secret that used car prices have gone through the roof over the past 18 months but we would have never guessed that there are people out there willing to drop insane sums on vehicles like the FJ Cruiser. After all, when new, it was available for less than $30,000.

This particular FJ Cruiser has been owned by three individuals since leaving the factory and was acquired by the seller in 2017. It has only ever been driven 63 miles (101 km) and was auctioned through Bring a Trailer with an accident-free Carfax report and a clean Wisconsin title.

Adorning the exterior of the off-roader is Iceberg white paint with a matching roof and silver trim. It has also been equipped with the optional off-road package that adds trail-tuned Bilstein shocks, an electronically controlled locking rear differential, active traction control, CRAWL Control, and an infotainment system with an inclinometer, a compass, and a temperature reading.

A look inside the cabin reveals Dark Charcoal upholstery and given the off-roader’s low mileage, it comes as no surprise that the interior looks brand new.

Like all FJ Cruisers, this one is powered by a 4.0-liter naturally-aspirated V6 pumping out 260 hp and 271 lb-ft (367 Nm) of torque and coupled to a five-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
