A lightly-camouflaged prototype of the 2023 DS 7 Crossback has been spied testing near Paris, France ahead of its debut on June 27.

It has been five years since the DS 7 Crossback was first introduced and while the styling updates made to the 2023 model won’t be hugely significant, they will help to freshen up the vehicle’s design.

This prototype was snapped by the folks over at Autobild and is similar to the one that our spy photographers spotted earlier this month. However, DS has stripped away some of the camouflage around the taillights, allowing us to see them for the very first time. The updated taillights are very similar to those of the outgoing model and continue to sport complex LED light signatures but they have been reshaped and appear slightly slimmer and wider.

The current DS 7 Crossback

Few other changes have been made to the rear of the facelifted DS 7 Crossback. In fact, the bumper appears identical, as does the silver trim around the diffuser and exhaust outlets.

The most obvious change on the front will be the new headlights, set to appear slightly slimmer than those of the current model. The grille is also set to grow in size and will incorporate an intricate new mesh design. DS’s designers have also re-profiled the bumper and lower air intakes. New LED daytime running lights will also be featured.

Very few changes are expected for the interior, other than things like updated software for the infotainment screen and digital instrument cluster.

Powertrain details for the 2023 DS 7 Crossback have yet to be confirmed. The front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid powertrains of the current model are expected to be carried over and Auto Bild suggests that 130 hp and 180 hp petrol options will also be available.
