The Dodge Charger and its two-door muscle car sibling the Challenger are popular throughout the USA. For many car enthusiasts, the thought of rolling up at a stoplight next to another car that’s identical isn’t ideal. This very custom convertible Dodge Challenger might be the perfect solution for those that want the power and style but want to stand out as well.

Listed over at Car & Bids with a couple of days remaining in the auction as of this writing, this 2020 Dodge Challenger is already sitting at a $42,500 bid price. That’s just a grand or so above its $41,490 MSRP. Of course, it’s a dramatically different vehicle now compared to the day that it rolled off of the assembly line.

Painted in a purple hue called Hellraisin, the Challenger had its top removed and replaced by a canvas convertible roof. The work was all done under the roof of the aptly named Drop Top Customs of High Springs, FL. This is the same shop responsible for the world’s first Challenger Hellcat convertible so it knows what it’s doing.

The Challenger in question here has been registered in Florida since new and has just 5,900 miles on the odometer. Under the hood is a 6.4-liter 392 cubic-inch V8 that produces 485 hp (361 kW) and 475 lb-ft (643 Nm) of torque. Power is fed through a six-speed manual transmission and into the rear wheels only.

Of course, we imagine that this particular Challenger sounds a bit better from the driver’s seat thanks to the lack of a hard roof. That convertible top isn’t the only unique part about the car though. The owner has gone to the trouble of matching many of the accessories to the same purple theme set out by the paint color.

Purple halo headlights and purple-painted brake calipers complement that paint. Inside the cabin, the new owner will find that the door cards, the steering wheel, the start button, and even the climate vents have little touches of purple. Considering its rarity, low mileage, and clean consistent theme, we think it could end up going for just shy of six figures. What do you think it’s worth?
