A new set of teaser photos surfaced on the web prematurely, revealing styling details of Alfa Romeo’s facelifted Giulia and Stelvio and their new Competizione trim. Alfa Romeo is probably a few weeks away from officially unveiling the facelifted Giulia and Stelvio which will gain modern headlights in line with the Tonale, alongside other styling and technology updates.

The photos were posted on the Italian forum Autopaperi and look very much like official teasers. The first photo shows the redesigned LED headlights of the Stelvio and a portion of the bumper and its new intakes. The second teaser reveals the Competizione badge at the back, finished in black with a red accent. Finally, a photo of Giulia’s bumper intakes shows off the new design elements and a new ADAS sensor with Alfa Romeo lettering.

Interestingly, the pattern on the grille and bumper intakes look different from the allegedly leaked facelifted Alfa Romeo Giulia police vehicle, meaning that they could be limited to certain trims. Larry Dominique, Senior Vice President and Head of Alfa Romeo North America, had hinted at the new special editions from last spring, mentioning the “Competizione” and the “Lusso” names. What we don’t know is the positioning of the new sporty-looking Competizione trim but it sounds like the trim structure will be simplified.

Visual changes in the facelifted models are limited to the headlights and bumper intake molds, possibly combined with new trim options, badges, and new wheel designs.

The facelifted Giulia and Stelvio will most likely benefit from Tonale’s new infotainment system which is one of the major selling points for modern vehicles. The refreshed sedan and SUV models could also gain a slightly updated ADAS suite.

It is not clear if Alfa Romeo will update the powertrains, but we would be very surprised if there’s not at least one electrified powertrain option, and the diesel options are not expected to continue.

According to the forum users, Alfa Romeo is expected to drop the teasers in the next few hours officially. The update will allow the Giulia and Stelvio models to march on until 2026 when they will be replaced by all-new EV models based on STLA underpinnings.
