Dodge Reveals HurriCrate And Hellephant Crate Engines, Showcases Repainted Charger Daytona SRT Concept And Will Lock Third Party Tuners Out Of EV-Modding Market

SEMA 2022 was used for a number of announcements from Dodge, including a return for Roadkill Nights in 2023, and the confirmation that Dodge won’t be allowing third-party tuners access to their EVs. Direct Connection, Dodge’s line of aftermarket high-performance parts, also announced two new crate engine lines: the Hellephant V8 and the HurriCrate inline-six. In addition, although the next Charger will be an EV, the company hasn’t entirely ruled out plumbing in the Hurricane Straight-Six ICE at some point.


2023 Jeep Wrangler Brings Back Punk’n Orange In Time For Halloween

In line with the Halloween festivities, Jeep will be bringing back the popular Punk’n shade of orange — for a limited time. Available for all variants of the 2023 Wrangler, It’ll set back shoppers $695 and is the sixth special-run color to be offered for the current generation of Wrangler.


New Chinese Startup BeyonCa That’s Backed By Renault Reveals GT Opus 1 ‘Super Premium EV’

A new Chinese startup known as BeyonCa aims to expand the “super-premium smart EV segment” with their GT Opus 1. It has some interesting features, such as sensors that will monitor a driver’s blood pressure and can stop the car and trigger an alarm if a medical emergency happens. The company is backed by Renault and Dongfeng Motor while production of the GT Opus 1 is expected to start in 2023 with deliveries commencing the following year.


Ford Performance Is Taking The New Ranger Raptor To The Baja 1000

Ford’s Ranger Raptor will be tackling the Baja 1000 that kicks off on November 18. The specially-equipped Raptor will be a one-off built to SCORE’s stock class and will run on a blend of Shell biofuel that mixes ethanol and bionaphtha.


Tesla Semi Shows Off Impressive Acceleration In New Videos

Noted Tesla enthusiast @HinrichsZane posted several videos of the new Tesla Semi undergoing testing around Nevada. One video, in particular, seems to demonstrate the new electric truck’s impressive acceleration, with the Semi pulling a trailer and heading uphill from a stop. Tesla says that unloaded, the truck can do 0-60 in as little as 5-seconds, and fully loaded with 82,000 pounds (nearly 37,200 kg), it can do the same sprint in around 20 seconds.


Manhart Gives The Porsche 911 Turbo S 822 HP, Turns It Into The TR 800

Just in case the regular Porsche 911 Turbo S wasn’t enough for you, Manhart has cranked things up with the TR 800. Based on the 992, the 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine features new turbochargers and an upgraded intercooler. Output climbs from 641 hp (478 kW / 650 PS) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque to 822 hp (613 kW / 833 PS) and 712 lb-ft (965 Nm). To handle that power, you also get H&R lowering springs, as well as a TopCar carbon fiber body kit, amongst other visual touches.

Lewis Hamilton has launched a new Film and TV production company named Dawn Apollo Films. It will produce the as-yet-untitled F1 film that stars Brad Pitt, while the aim will be to push “meaningful conversations and impactful storytelling,” reports Deadline.
