Radical is readying a new model that will be reserved for the track, honoring its motorsports heritage. The supercar codenamed “Project 25” will be produced in a limited number of 25 units, as many as the years of Radical Performance, and will be fitted with a bi-turbo V6 producing 850 hp.

The British company published a couple of teasers in a dedicated microsite for the upcoming reveal. One of them shows the closed-cockpit supercar’s aggressive aero including a massive rear wing and a large diffuser. We can also see hints of side intakes, pronounced fenders with integrated inlets, and a racecar-grade front splitter. The other teaser shows the headrest with embossed “25” lettering and a carbon-fiber door card.

The Project 25 will be based on a spaceframe chassis with the company promising “outstanding driver engagement and feedback”. More importantly, it will be fitted with a V6 bi-turbo engine that will produce as much as 850hp. This output sounds extremely high for such a compact vehicle that is expected to be quite lightweight.

Radical says that the Project 25 is “inspired” by the RXC coupé (2013 – present) describing it as an evolution of the RXC model line. The latter has been offered with tuned versions of two Ford-sourced V6 engines – the 3.7-liter Duratec Cyclone and the 3.5-liter Ecoboost. The Ecoboost is the most powerful of the bunch, with Radical taking it up to 650 hp (485 kW / 659 PS) in certain RXC trims.

Pricing and detailed specs of the track-only Project 25 will be announced in early 2023. Production will commence in the fourth quarter of 2023, with the first deliveries scheduled before the end of next year. According to Joe Anwyll, Radical Motorsport CEO, the Project 25 was revealed to the brand’s dealers and special guests in a closed event in Las Vegas.
