Ferrari has produced some truly remarkable V8-powered supercars over the decades but to us, there is one that stands head and shoulders above the rest; the 458 Speciale.

One could make an argument that the standard 458 Italia represented the peak of Ferrari’s V8 lineage, not only because it was the last model to have a naturally-aspirated V8 but also because it offered perhaps the perfect level of performance for a road-legal supercar. The subsequent 488 GTB, F8 Tributo, and 296 GTB all have significantly more power but in our opinion, lack the raw emotion of the 458.

Sitting at the top of the 458 family is the lighter and more track-focused Speciale. Approximately 3,000 examples were built between 2013 and 2015 and this particular example has been owned by the seller since 2015. It has just 1,000 miles (~1,600 km) on the clock and is being auctioned through Bring a Trailer with a clean Carfax report and a clean Florida title.

The exterior of the car is finished in Giallo Modena which has been contrasted by black racing stripes. It also features carbon fiber Scuderia Ferrari shields on the front fenders and has the original 20-inch wheels finished in black and wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The cabin has also been beautifully appointed to complement the exterior thanks to black Alcantara and yellow contrast stitching.

A look at the car’s window sticker reveals that it had an original retail price of $321,221 and approximately $35,000 was spent on options. These include a $6,242 front axle lift system, a $3,897 rear parking camera, $3,542 front and rear parking sensors, and yellow brake calipers that cost $1,488.

The listing notes that while the Ferrari has barely been driven, it has been serviced, underwent an oil change in February 2021, and had new engine belts installed in March 2019.
